was purchased in June 2009, years overdue if you ask me.
What is this place?
It’s my freedom, my expression, my creativity, my life, my love. It’s the world as I see it, feel it, experience it. I’ve been designing, coding and blogging as a pass time for many years. It’s one of my favourite hobbies, but a hidden one. My inner geek is known to few who know me offline.
Why “amapeli”?
For years “amapeli” has been my handle on the net. If you google “amapeli” the vast majority of pages, accounts, etc that come up will have been registered to/by me at some point. I found the name by searching my name in a Hawaiian name generator.
What will I find here?
My photography, my adventures, my opinions, my life plans/changes, technology (mostly blackberry) and good music.
Why Blog?
I’ve been blogging since 2001. The majority of my teen years were documented at some point, some place, whether they still exist in livejournal, xanga, or vox, or have vanished only for the way back machine to bring up just to embarrass me at it’s own leisure. Lucky for me, I can’t remember the majority of places I’ve been hosted. The point is, it’s what I know. When something bothers me, I blog about it. When something exciting happens, I blog about it. I went for a couple of years without a real, fully customizable, just for me website. I really missed it.
I’m a huge lover of photoshop, and I made all the images to this layout, however, i did use vectors, patterns, etc. So, if you see something that’s yours and you really don’t like what I’ve done with it, they let me know, and I’ll change it.
